THE HOME OF EVALUATION AND INTERVENTION RESEARCH
The BSBIH conducts novel research and evaluation on early childhood interventions in one of the most multicultural populations in the UK
At the Hub, we conduct research on interventions that are targeted towards families with children aged 0 – 4 years in three areas of Bradford: Bowling and Barkerend, Little Horton, and Bradford Moor.
The Hub is funded by Better Start Bradford, as part of the £215 million ‘A Better Start’ project from the National Lottery Community Fund.
The Hub is proud to be the home of the Born in Bradford Better Start (BiBBS) cohort, an experimental birth cohort of over 5,000 families who take part in interventions from birth.
We combine baseline data with National Health Service records, educational records, Local Authority data, and intervention data from services to conduct research on the impact of interventions throughout childhood.
In addition to undertaking research and evaluation, the Innovation Hub also supports commissioners and delivery organisations to build their capacity around evaluation. If you are interested in finding out more about the tools and guides we have developed see our Resources page
